I came across a new ham/corn soup recipe by way of a magazine at the check out. The ingredients were fairly predictable except for the package of Ranch Dip mix that was part of the base and the grated smoked gouda cheese used as a garnish. It was a nice variation using some familiar flavors. This goes on my list of comfort foods for a cold winter evening.
